Shall I tell her?  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Captain GG: We are all ears.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Little A: How come when I throw a stone into the sea it goes to the bottom of the sea? But a ship with lots of cars, food and people does not go to the bottom.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daphne: Here&#8217;s a nice question for our captain!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Captain GG: It&#8217;s very interesting, little A. The answer lies in the word density. For a ship to float, its density must be less than the density of the water.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr .A: That is, the density of a whole ship to float must be less than about 1 gr\/cm3, which is the density of water. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dad: Correct me if I remember correctly, density is defined as the mass of the ship divided by the volume of the ship.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Captain GG: This quotient must be small to reach the density of water. Since we cannot reduce the mass of the ship, what should we do?  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. A: Should we increase its volume?  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Captain GG: The ships are filled with vacuum air. They are not made of solid metal.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Little A: Something like Swiss cheese that&#8217;s full of holes.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mom: The Emmental.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daphne: Great cheese! But we are trying to find.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dad: I understand that there are investigations going on all the time. We&#8217;ve even sent rovers from Earth to investigate. These rovers have 2 more wheels than our cars! Watch the next video which is in Greek.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Little A: Let&#8217;s go eat fried squid while there are squid. If the Earth, like Mars, loses its seas, we won&#8217;t have squid to eat.
