El 10 de mayo se registraron algunos de los colores m\u00e1s intensos en muchas latitudes y longitudes geogr\u00e1ficas debido a las auroras boreales. Incluso fue fotografiado en las Islas Canarias.<\/p>\n\n<p>Esto, como hemos discutido, sucede porque el Sol no es estacionario y tiene erupciones en su superficie, as\u00ed como manchas solares (manchas negras) de su campo magn\u00e9tico. Estas pueden alcanzar el tama\u00f1o de la Tierra, o incluso ser m\u00e1s grandes, como la de la semana pasada, y env\u00edan grandes cantidades de part\u00edculas hacia la Tierra, creando las auroras. La mancha solar AR 3664 es una de ellas, y fue fotografiada por Marco Meniero y presentada en la Imagen Astron\u00f3mica del D\u00eda. La actividad solar sigue un ciclo de actividad de 11 a\u00f1os, \u00a1y ahora estamos en el pico de esta actividad!<\/p>\n\n<p>Tales erupciones tienen el potencial de interferir con los sat\u00e9lites y la comunicaci\u00f3n en la Tierra.
