Si 98 Ianthi y anti-98 Ianthi se encontraran, habr\u00eda una gran explosi\u00f3n y ambas desaparecer\u00edan. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>431 Nefeli:<\/strong> Pero eso no ocurre en el universo. Sabemos muy bien que todo est\u00e1 hecho de materia. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adrianos<\/strong>: Exactamente. Nunca hemos encontrado nada compuesto exclusivamente de antimateria. Este desequilibrio entre materia y antimateria podr\u00eda explicarse gracias a los neutrinos.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>431 Nefeli: <\/strong>\u00a1Ahora entiendo por qu\u00e9 hay tantos experimentos que intentan detectar neutrinos!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adrianos<\/strong>: Hay uno en Grecia, cerca de Pilos. \u00bfVamos a buscar neutrinos tambi\u00e9n? <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Equipo S\u00cd va a Pilos en busca de neutrinos. Tambi\u00e9n quieren entender por qu\u00e9 su detecci\u00f3n y medici\u00f3n es tan importante. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>98 Ianthi:<\/strong> \u00bfSabes, Adrianos, de d\u00f3nde vienen los neutrinos que llegan a la Tierra?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adrianos<\/strong>: Principalmente del Sol. Mientras convierte hidr\u00f3geno en elementos m\u00e1s pesados, se producen neutrinos. Estos salen del Sol sin ser molestados y llegan hasta la Tierra. Dicen que no interact\u00faan con nada. Por eso pueden atravesar todo. La luz no puede pasar por zonas muy densas del universo, \u00a1pero los neutrinos s\u00ed! \u00bfC\u00f3mo vas a hacer que se queden en tu cubito?     <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>98 Ianthi:<\/strong> Es cierto, son muy dif\u00edciles de detectar. Pero no destruyas mis sue\u00f1os. \u00bfNo vinimos a Pilos por eso? \u00a1Queremos ver el enorme telescopio de neutrinos que hay aqu\u00ed!    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adrianos<\/strong>: Escuchen chicas: m\u00e1s de un bill\u00f3n de neutrinos atraviesan nuestros cuerpos cada segundo. All\u00ed est\u00e1 <strong>N\u00e9stor<\/strong>, el telescopio de neutrinos. Despu\u00e9s de la colisi\u00f3n, esa part\u00edcula se mueve muy r\u00e1pido y emite luz. Esa luz es lo que detectan los telescopios de neutrinos.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>431 Nefeli: <\/strong>Entonces, as\u00ed es como los cient\u00edficos saben que un neutrino ha pasado, \u00bfverdad?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adrianos<\/strong>: \u00a1Exactamente! \u00a1Lo est\u00e1n entendiendo todo!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>98 Ianthi: <\/strong>Y para aumentar las probabilidades de que un neutrino choque con una part\u00edcula cargada, es bueno que haya muchas de esas part\u00edculas en su camino.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adrianos<\/strong>: Por eso probablemente colocan estos telescopios en el fondo del mar o en el hielo de la Ant\u00e1rtida. Tambi\u00e9n para reducir el ruido. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>431 Nefeli: <\/strong>As\u00ed es como funciona el telescopio de neutrinos que est\u00e1 en Pilos, \u00bfno?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adrianos<\/strong>: Este telescopio griego se llama N\u00e9stor. Como muestra la imagen, est\u00e1 hecho de doce &#8220;pisos&#8221;. Cada piso es una estructura hexagonal en forma de estrella. Cada piso tiene unos &#8220;ojos&#8221; redondos. Y en cada ojo hay una c\u00e1mara. Por ejemplo, aprend\u00ed que en un experimento similar (IceCube en la Ant\u00e1rtida), los cient\u00edficos detectaron 19 neutrinos provenientes del objeto SN 1987A. \u00a119 neutrinos! Vinieron de nuestra galaxia vecina, que est\u00e1 a 163.000 a\u00f1os luz de distancia, es decir, 15.000.000.000.000.000 kil\u00f3metros. Esos 19 neutrinos viajaron durante much\u00edsimo tiempo antes de ser detectados en 2017 en el hielo ant\u00e1rtico.     <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Las chicas:<\/strong> \u00a1Esperamos que N\u00e9stor tambi\u00e9n logre detectar algunos neutrinos! Aunque creemos que ya no est\u00e1 en funcionamiento\u2026 <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adrianos<\/strong>: Preguntar\u00e9 y te dir\u00e9.
