Se cree que esta burbuja fue formada por explosiones de supernovas en el pasado, que empujaron el gas circundante y crearon una regi\u00f3n vac\u00eda. A medida que el Sol orbitaba el centro de la galaxia, termin\u00f3 en su posici\u00f3n actual dentro de esta burbuja.<br\/>Actualmente, muchas investigaciones se centran en identificar los l\u00edmites de la Burbuja Local y comprender sus or\u00edgenes, especialmente estudiando nubes moleculares antiguas a su alrededor.<br\/>   <\/p>\n\n<p>As\u00ed se ve la Burbuja Local cerca del Sol, con nubes moleculares y regiones de formaci\u00f3n estelar en su entorno.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/LOCALBUBBLEUNIMAG.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11911\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/LOCALBUBBLEUNIMAG.png 800w, https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/LOCALBUBBLEUNIMAG-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/LOCALBUBBLEUNIMAG-768x432.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Imagen v\u00eda CfA \/ Catherine Zucker et al. \/ Wikipedia (dominio p\u00fablico)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>En una de estas investigaciones, la corriente EOS apareci\u00f3 en los estudios de la Dra. Dharmawardena y la Dra. Burkhart. En su trabajo, analizan y reconstruyen nubes moleculares de la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea en 3D, utilizando t\u00e9cnicas innovadoras. Al revisar datos ya existentes, detectaron algo peculiar\u2026 y oscuro.<br\/>Normalmente, las nubes moleculares se detectan a trav\u00e9s de emisiones ultravioletas del hidr\u00f3geno molecular. Sin embargo, esta nube fue descubierta mediante observaciones directas en el ultravioleta lejano, donde los datos mostraban mol\u00e9culas de hidr\u00f3geno brillando en fluorescencia, lo que hac\u00eda que la nube \u201cbrillara en la oscuridad\u201d, seg\u00fan los autores. A pesar de este brillo, su baja densidad en hidr\u00f3geno la hab\u00eda mantenido oculta\u2026 hasta ahora.      <\/p>\n\n<p>La nube EOS se encuentra a unos 300 a\u00f1os luz (alrededor de 10\u00b9\u2075 km) del sistema solar, en los m\u00e1rgenes de la Burbuja Local. Y es una estructura enorme: \u00a1si pudi\u00e9ramos verla a simple vista, cubrir\u00eda una regi\u00f3n del cielo equivalente a 40 lunas llenas!
