{"id":7408,"date":"2014-06-13T19:23:42","date_gmt":"2014-06-13T16:23:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uni-mag.gr\/mtg-meteosat-de-tercera-generacion\/"},"modified":"2024-05-30T18:19:39","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T15:19:39","slug":"mtg-meteosat-de-tercera-generacion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/es\/mtg-meteosat-de-tercera-generacion\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00bfQu\u00e9 es: MTG (Meteosat Tercera Generaci\u00f3n)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El tiempo influye mucho en nuestra vida cotidiana: \u00bfqu\u00e9 nos pondremos ma\u00f1ana? \u00bfQu\u00e9 haremos ma\u00f1ana? \u00bfEs seguro viajar en avi\u00f3n? \u00bfHabr\u00e1 inundaciones peligrosas? \u00bfNos ba\u00f1amos en el mar o llueve?  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Muchas preguntas de este tipo nos hacen darnos cuenta de la necesidad de un sistema de previsi\u00f3n meteorol\u00f3gica. \u00bfY el cambio clim\u00e1tico? \u00bfSe derretir\u00e1 todo el hielo de los polos? \u00bfY los ping\u00fcinos y los osos polares?  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La previsi\u00f3n meteorol\u00f3gica diaria se basa principalmente en modelos y datos que hemos construido\/recopilado a partir de datos terrestres y espaciales. La Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA) lanz\u00f3 el primer sat\u00e9lite para vigilar el tiempo y el clima de la Tierra, el Meteosat-1, en 1977. La \u00faltima versi\u00f3n de este tipo de sat\u00e9lite es el Meteosat de Tercera Generaci\u00f3n (MTG). La empresa responsable de su construcci\u00f3n es la alemana EUMETSAT. M\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n, en ingl\u00e9s, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eumetsat.int\/meteosat-third-generation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">aqu\u00ed<\/a>:  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7048\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-01.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-01-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-01-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este sat\u00e9lite consta de tres sat\u00e9lites similares, como se muestra en la imagen superior. Lanzamiento en diciembre de 2022 desde la Guayana Francesa en el cohete Ariane 5 de la ESA.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MTG es un sat\u00e9lite &#8220;geoestacionario&#8221;, lo que significa que est\u00e1 constantemente sobre el mismo punto de la Tierra, a 36.000 kil\u00f3metros sobre el ecuador. El MTG observar\u00e1 continuamente el 80% del disco total de la Tierra. Registrar\u00e1 continuamente las descargas el\u00e9ctricas causadas por rayos y truenos. Los datos recogidos permitir\u00e1n a EUMETSAT registrar la situaci\u00f3n meteorol\u00f3gica y alertar sobre ella. Por ejemplo, avisar\u00e1 de incendios y lluvias en Grecia y m\u00e1s all\u00e1.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dos de los tres sat\u00e9lites mostrados se utilizan para tomar im\u00e1genes de las descargas el\u00e9ctricas que se producen en las nubes. Estas descargas el\u00e9ctricas son los rayos y las tormentas el\u00e9ctricas que conocemos y comprendemos bien. Cada c\u00e1mara puede capturar 1.000 im\u00e1genes por segundo, sin importar si es de d\u00eda o de noche.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7050\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-02.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-02-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-02-133x200.jpg 133w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>El cohete Ariane 5 que lanz\u00f3 y puso en \u00f3rbita MTG. Las dimensiones del cohete pueden compararse con la altura de las personas que aparecen en la misma foto.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En general, se producen m\u00e1s rayos que truenos. Se ha registrado que estas descargas el\u00e9ctricas matan a unas 2.000 personas al a\u00f1o. Recientemente (verano de 2023), s\u00f3lo en Magnesia y Larissa, en Grecia, se detectaron al menos 12.000 rayos en 2 horas (05\/09\/2023) debido al mal tiempo de Daniel. Los ciudadanos de estas zonas de Grecia dicen que deber\u00eda haber habido prevenci\u00f3n contra el mal tiempo. Es precisamente esta &#8220;predicci\u00f3n&#8221; del tiempo y el cambio clim\u00e1tico lo que los nuevos datos de MTG intentar\u00e1n mejorar.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7052\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-03.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-03-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.uni-mag.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/mtg-03-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Los rayos y truenos que MTG intentar\u00e1 grabar a 36.000 kil\u00f3metros de distancia en el espacio.
